Vulture is a ship AI, orginally from a ship of that name. It's captain had the misfortune of boarding the escape pod of the Occam Razor, which had been redone in Jain tech.

Vulture was turned into an actual vulture on Cull by Dragon, where he assisted Mr Crane in getting his mind right. He accompanies Mr. Crane on his quest for vengence against Erebus for the genocide of the slur-human hybrids. Eventually, Mr. Crane returns it to its orignal role of ship AI after acquiring the ship Harpy.
