Separatist Movement

Separatist movements existed throughout the Polity, seeking to bring an end to AI rule (seemingly for religious or ideological reasons). The Polity as a whole is largely satisfied with the AI government and unsympathetic to the Separatist cause, so the Separatists frequently resort to terrorist activities to further their aims. Consequently, much of the work of ECS is related to countering the Separatist threat.
The Separatist movement is divided into small "cells", each operating on a different world, although a complicated system of internal politics exists between cells. Some cells, such as the Callisto cell, have been so heavily infiltrated that ECS only permits their continued existence to gain further intelligence. Other cells remain elusive and continue to cause problems throughout the Polity.
Notable Separatists
- The most prominent member of the Cheyne III Separatists is Arian Pelter.
- Algin Tenkian joined the Jovian Separatists after graduating from VIT and worked in their weapons division, before surrendering to ECS on Phobos.
