Fiddler Randal

Fiddler Randal is the fly in Erebus's ointment in Line War. Fiddler Randal was a human crewman on the attack ship sent to Trafalgar. The AI's on board were subsumed and the humans died in experiments with the Jain Tech. Randal would become the personification of those parts of the melded AI that resisted Erebus and which had not wanted to be melded in the first place. Randal infiltrates the Jain Tech infrastructure and undermines Erebus's plans. He causes Erebus to forget crucial details. He communicates with his enemies and co-ordinates Orlandine's plan to destroy him. He taunts Erebus to the very end, revealing himself as Erebus's conscience.
